Overview

The Tripp Lite SR42UBDPWD is a 42‑unit (42U) deep and wide server rack enclosure designed for infrastructure and data‑center teams to house servers, networking equipment, PDUs, UPSes, and cable management accessories with robust load support. It is deployed where large, heavy IT loads and extended depth equipment are present in enterprise and colocation rack rooms.

This full‑enclosure cabinet provides a deep and wide internal footprint (approx. 47.2″ / 1200 mm depth × ~29.5″ / 750 mm width), enabling high‑density racks, cable channels, and rear‑mounted PDUs without obstructing airflow or service access. The fully assembled cabinet includes front and rear locking, removable, reversible doors and locking side panels keyed alike for secure access control.

Structural support is engineered for heavy gear: up to ~3000 lb (1361 kg) static load and ~2250 lb (1020 kg) rolling capacity on pre‑installed casters that allow positioning and leveling feet for secure installation on uneven floors. The reinforced cold‑rolled steel frame and powder‑coat finish withstand mechanical stress in rack‑dense environments.

Ventilation is a core consideration with high perforation patterns on doors and open bottoms for cable access, enabling front‑to‑rear airflow appropriate for servers and blade systems. Vertical mounting rails adjust in 1/4″ increments with depth indexing for consistent equip­ment alignment.

Typical deployments include enterprise IT closets, edge racks with deep equipment (modular servers, blade chassis), and high‑density telecom racks.
