Overview
The HPE AG558A is a rack-mounted 2-unit (2U) Fibre Channel SAN switch specifically designed for large-scale storage area network fabrics and enterprise storage deployments. It offers 64 full-duplex Fibre Channel ports and auto-sensing speeds up to 2 Gb/s, 4 Gb/s or 8 Gb/s per port, making it appropriate for migration from legacy SAN environments while providing high throughput and port density. The non-blocking switching architecture supports consistent performance across all ports, including high-density blade or rack-server storage traffic, replication and virtualization. Redundant, hot-swappable power supplies and fans deliver high availability; enterprise-grade SAN fabric features enable diagnostics, zoning and path management. It is suited for data-centre storage back-bones, converged storage fabrics and high-availability SAN topologies.
