Overview :

The INTELLINET 509770 is a passive Direct Attach Copper (DAC) breakout cable designed to split a single 40 Gigabit QSFP+ connection into four independent 10 Gigabit SFP+ links. It is intended for high-density data centers, enterprise networks, cloud infrastructure, and high-performance computing environments requiring short-reach, high-bandwidth connectivity.

The cable provides an aggregate bandwidth of 40 Gbps by delivering four 10 Gbps SFP+ channels over passive twinax copper. Its low-latency, low-power design eliminates the need for separate optical transceivers, reducing deployment costs while simplifying installation and maintenance. Power consumption is less than 0.15 W.

With a cable length of 3 ft (1 m), the 509770 is well suited for Top-of-Rack (ToR) switching, adjacent rack interconnects, switch stacking, and server-to-switch connectivity. Zinc die-cast QSFP+ and SFP+ connectors with pull-to-release latches provide secure connections and support hot-swappable operation.

The cable is MSA- and IBTA-compliant and programmed for compatibility with Cisco and numerous other MSA-compliant networking platforms. It is intended for short-distance passive DAC applications and should not be used for long-distance optical links or 25G/100G Ethernet deployments.
