Overview :

The Opengear CM8148-10G-USB is a 1U rack-mounted console manager designed for secure out-of-band (OOB) management of enterprise, colocation, and data center infrastructure. It provides 48 software-selectable RJ45 serial console ports, dual 10GbE SFP+ uplinks, and integrated USB console connectivity for modern network devices. It enables administrators to maintain secure remote access to critical infrastructure during network outages.

The appliance is powered by a 1.6 GHz dual-core ARM processor with 2 GB DDR4 memory and 32 GB eMMC flash storage. It supports Docker containers, TPM 2.0 security, Smart OOB™, and eight rear USB-C 2.0 serial ports for managing USB console-enabled equipment alongside traditional serial devices.

The CM8148-10G-USB is intended for rack-mounted deployments requiring high-density console access, high-speed network uplinks, and USB console management. It integrates with Opengear Lighthouse for centralized administration. It should not be selected where redundant DC power or integrated cellular connectivity is required, as those features are available on other CM8100-10G variants.
