The Opengear OM2232 is a high-density, enterprise-grade NetOps Operations Manager appliance engineered to provide secure Smart Out-of-Band (Smart OOB™) management and automated edge operations for data centers, central offices, and high-density network racks. Featuring 32 software-selectable RJ45 RS-232 serial console ports alongside dual 1GbE RJ45/SFP combo uplinks, the OM2232 ensures continuous physical visibility and out-of-band management over switches, routers, firewalls, and server infrastructure.

Powered by an AMD GX-412TC quad-core 1.4 GHz x86 processor, 8 GB DDR3 RAM, 64 GB M.2 SATA SSD storage, and an embedded Trusted Platform Module (TPM 2.0), the OM2232 natively supports modern NetOps automation tools. IT teams can run Docker containers and Python scripts directly on the appliance to automate routine troubleshooting and zero-touch configuration tasks. Managed centrally via Opengear Lighthouse software, the OM2232 establishes a dedicated management plane for resilient infrastructure operations.
